Our good friends the Luxury Tax were playing this last Saturday at Temple. They fucking killed! For 2 straight hours, they assaulted the crowd (and it was a fucking crowd) with some of the funkiest electro-house I've ever heard them play. I don't know what happened. it was like we we're watching and hearing them evolve into something wholly more sexy and terrible before our very persons. Sweat dripped from every neck. All bodies moved in a kind of horror-movie-esque syncopation which was driven on into further and further states of sublime delirium by the builds and breakdowns of each set. By 05:00, no one was left standing. We filtered out in a daze and waited for them in awe on the street. What a fucking set! They gave me a few cuts for your amusement, but seriously, these are really just the going-in proposition. Multiply the resulting priapism by 37 and then you'll be halfway to how awesome this was:
